Overcoming Obstacles With PL65

Background
AVnew, located near Orlando, Florida, is a nimble audio, video, lighting and acoustics integrator. Working primarily with houses of worship, AVnew is the premier technological solution provider in central Florida. This forward-thinking company has overcome many unique challenges to provide high quality audiovisual solutions to their customers.
Problem
Prior to acquiring the PL65, AVnew would install scaffolding to change lights in churches. Unfortunately, setup and teardown was an exhausting process that took up to three days and required four people!
Recently, AVnew had to run a wire along a beam that was tight against a wall. Before ReechCraft’s help, the only solution was to bring in a 14,000 lb articulating boom. The boom was so large that it left only an inch of clearance between the pews. Articulating booms are hard to steer, hard to stop and can potentially cause permanent damage to floors.
Solution
AVnew first saw ReechCraft at the 2019 InfoComm trade show in Orlando where we were demonstrating our new PL65. As soon as AVnew saw the PowerLift PL65 with straddle base, they knew it would be a game changer for their business. With the PL65, the church that used to take three days and four people to work, now only takes four hours and two people. And, those four hours include commuting time!
The PL65 also ensured AVnew no longer needed an articulating boom to install close to walls. Using the outrigger base, PL65 easily rolls into place and does not damage any pews.
The owner of AVnew, Don Peterson, says the PL65 has “significantly,” reduced their service call and install times. Peterson elaborates, “There is not a week we do not use it. It is paying its way. We carry the PL65 like we carry our tool bag, everywhere!”
